Curriculum

We Teach Lifelong Learning

We teach our students how to think, reflect, and learn with our well-rounded liberal arts curriculum. With plenty of opportunities to take Advanced Placement (AP) content and college courses at Saint John’s University and the College of Saint Benedict, our rigorous academics ensure our students will learn time management and critical thinking, and gain the leadership skills necessary to succeed throughout their lives.

A2E, or Aspire to Excellence, is a curriculum designed to help students explore their academic interests and succeed in higher education. The A2E framework aligns with our Benedictine values and includes seven foundational learning goals: academic excellence, spiritual growth, social development, and compassionate service. A2E gives students the opportunity for advanced academic work, including collegiate courses and an Honors capstone project.

Athletics and activities

One of the most important things we do at Prep is to help your child identify their strengths and their passions. Our state-of-the-art facilities allow us to provide a wide variety of programs so every student has the opportunity to explore new interests and grow outside of the classroom.

Tuition resources

We aspire to admit students who demonstrate academic promise, leadership, extracurricular, and community service interests, regardless of their family’s socio-economic status. We offer both merit-based and need-based scholarship programs, and welcome families to apply for reduced tuition through our variable tuition assistance program.

Students Outside Woods

Residential life

We have a mix of both domestic and international students, as well as resident and day students. Five and seven-day boarding in our newly renovated residence hall provides opportunities for students to gain independent living skills within a supportive and nurturing environment. Our boarding program also makes it easier for students with busy families to take full advantage of the many after-school activities we provide at Prep.rnrnWhile boarding offers a unique experience, during the school day, you will find our resident and day students mingling freely, with a sense of community fueled by shared interests and collaborative experiences.

My kids have thrived at this school and have been afforded amazing opportunities to grow, not only as students, but also as human beings.

The environment encourages individuality, supports different cultures and backgrounds, and prepares its students for future success by offering a real-life sampling of what they will encounter in college and beyond.
