Little Miami RiverA State and National Scenic River - for Very Good Reason

The Little Miami changes dramatically in its character along it's 105.5 mile course. The Little Miami drains a nearly 1800 square mile portion of central and southeastern Ohio. The Little Miami was formed by the meltwater of the glaciers thousands of years ago. You can see the dramatic force of that meltwater in places like Clifton Gorge with it's steep narrow canyon and boiling whitewater - decidedly NOT kayakable, but extrordinarily beautiful.
You'll also find plenty of places along the river where you can stop for a picnic - or just enjoy the solitude. If you're new to kayaking, the Little Miami is the perfect place to get started. If you're a more advanced kayaker- used to whitewater rivers like the New or the Snake - the Little Miami offers an entirely different experience, an experience of what our Midwestern rivers must have been like ages ago. Either way, we hope you'll treat yourself to a day of kayaking on the Little Miami River. Why not call us right now to make reservations? Below: The Little Miami River at Clifton Gorge.
